It includes several ‘Behaviour Analysis and Safety Improvement Categories’ (BASICs) that are generated using data from roadside inspections, violation citations, and crash records, and are related directly to the driver’s crash risk: Unsafe Driving; Hours-of-Service Compliance; Driver Fitness; Controlled Substances; Vehicle Maintenance; and Crash Indicator.
